AFC Varsity are a football club established in 2020. We are based in Southampton, affiliated with the Hampshire FA and play in the Hampshire County Womens & Girls Football League.
Our team comprises a number of experienced players that have played womens football over several years and all share a passion of playing football compettively while improving their skills and ability while having fun.
The team were very successful during their first season together in 2020-21 season (despite the disruption due to the covid-19 pandemic) and secured the second place position within the league table and promotion from Division 3 to Division 2. In addition, the club has now expanded to two teams: AFC Varsity First team and AFC Varsity Reserves team.
Both teams train every Wednesday evening and matches are played on Sunday afternoons - 2pm kick off.
Training and games take place at Knightwood Leisure Centre, Chandler's Ford.
